Dr. Sylvain Valere Sob.

PhD, PharmD, MS,M.Ed., CCHT

Dr. Sylvain Sob is a Dedicated Clinical Pharmacist Director and Chemist with 20+ years’ global experience in research, patient care, and clinical pharmacy operations.

Proud Cameroonian born, Dr Sob obtained his PhD degree, pursuing research in a joint program between University of Yaoundé I and the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry. His main focus was Drug Discovery, area in which he is an expert sponsored by both the Third World Academy of Science in Italy and the Chinese Academy of Science. Dr Sylvain completed a Post Doctorate research project in Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica in 2010 before migrating to America to accomplish his childhood dream: Joint the highly selective cutting-edged scientist and contribute to moving biologically active compounds from the bench to the clinic, and improve global population health and wellness.

Sylvain enjoy traveling and takes pleasure in Educating and sharing scientific knowledge.
Currently serving as a Senior Program Director in a Psychiatric setting of 700+ patients and a Clinical Pharmacist in a low-income community clinic in Baltimore City, Dr Sob Joined CAMPhA-USA in 2017 because he fully adheres to the vision of this organization: Advancing and Promoting Effective Medication Use.

Dr. Sob is the CAMPhA-USA DMV Regional Coordinator and the Chair of the planning committee for the 2022 CAMPhA-USA Convention.

Organize outreach programs in local communities and in Cameroon
Establish partnership with other professional organizations per the bylaws

OUR GOALS

Liaise with the Pharmaceutical Society in Cameroon
Carry out a continuous membership drive for the pharmaceutical society of Cameroon
Provide and share information on the practice of pharmacy in Cameroon
Organize and assist with outreach programs within local communities in Cameroon
Assess and recommend policy and regulation changes in pharmacy practice in Cameroon

INFORMATION ON PHARMACY PRACTICE IN CAMEROON

Reminder of registration condition to the Board of Pharmacy

The Degree equivalence (by the country where the training was completed)
A stamped application at the current stamps price.
A certification of citizenship which was issued less than 3 months from the date of the application submission.
A certified copy of the birth certificate which was issued less than 3 months from the date of the application submission.
An extract from a criminal record which was issued less than 3 months from the date of the application submission.
A certified copy of the diploma of the Doctorate in Pharmacy or a provisional certificate of acceptance to the rank of pharmacist and recognized by the competent authority at the time of the filing for registration.
A certificate of presentation of the original of the said diploma or certificate
Four pictures 4*4 (passport size picture)
The registration fee is payable by the applicant (30.000 FCFA)

For pharmacist of foreign citizenship (none Cameroonian), produce the parts listed above and:

A certificate of non-prohibition to practice and a certificate of non-inclusion in the pharmacist board in his/her country of origin or in any other country where he/she had previously exercised as a pharmacist.
A certified copy of any act of recruitment on the behalf of a public administration or of a non-governmental organization or of a contract of employment under private Cameroonian law or of a confessional work.
The registration fee is payable by the applicant (30.000 FCFA)

NB: The pharmacist must deposit an original file in duplicate before the receipt will be deliver.
