COMMITTEES

    The purpose of these committees is to advance the strategic plans and goals of CAMPhA-USA. Each committee is autonomous, but has specific guidelines and goals that align with the overall vision of the association.

    Membership Committee

    • To actively recruit members
    • To develop strategies to encourage participation in committees and other activities
    • Evaluates and recommends member services and programs
    • Determine if membership needs are met
    • Keeps up with membership renewals
    • Seek to resolve members complaints
    • Assess and make recommendations on establishing local chapters
    • Prepare annual report

    Finance & Budget Committee

    • Monitor income and expense
    • Prepare yearly budget for review and approval by the board of directors
    • Maintain proper accounting principles and record keeping
    • Fundraising strategies
    • Prepare financial statement and annual report
    • Treasurer: Chair
    • Financial Secretary: Co-Chair

    Education Committee

    • Develops and review CE programs to meet the needs of the members
    • Produce quality videos and educational materials (newsletter, magazine, video, print, online etc) to benefit both members and Cameroonian communities both in the USA and Cameroon
    • Share other relevant information(e.g updates on clinical guidelines, board review, naplex, new drugs, etc)
    • Perform other activities as related to the organization’s vision
    • Prepare an annual report

    Communications Committee

    • Public relations
    • Promote and develop public awareness of the association
    • Website/social media content and management
    • Develop and implement various marketing strategies, public outreach efforts etc
    • The chair person will act as the association’s communication director 

    Pharmacy Practice in Cameroon Committee

    • Organize outreach programs in local communities and in Cameroon
    • Establish partnership with other professional organizations per the bylaws

    Outreach & Mission Committee

    • Develops and review CE programs to meet the needs of the members
    • Produce quality videos and educational materials (newsletter, magazine, video, print, online etc) to benefit both members and Cameroonian communities both in the USA and Cameroon
    • Share other relevant information(e.g updates on clinical guidelines, board review, naplex, new drugs, etc)
    • Perform other activities as related to the organization’s vision
    • Prepare an annual report

    Bylaws & Resolution Committee

    • Review and ensure compliance of the bylaws
    • Recommend proposed changes when necessary

    Leadership & Professional Development Committee

    • Create opportunities for leadership development for the executive team and  members
    • In charge of developing a mentorship program, training and assessment
    • Assess and recommend other leadership opportunities

    Awards, Scholarship & Nomination Committee

    • Reviews scholarship applications and award nomination
    • Selects recipients
    • Work in partnership with membership committee to raise funds for scholarships

    Student Outreach Committee

    • Recruit student pharmacists
    • Evaluate and recommend activities/programs to benefit students
    • Create surveys  to receive feedback from students
    • Provide content for the student section on the website
    • Seek ways to establish local student chapters
    • Perform other related activities as proposed by the board of directors
