    Dr. Helen Ayuk Ashuntantang

    Dr. Helen Ayuk Ashuntantang Arrey is a Clinical Pharmacist working with the Medication Therapy Management department for Walmart Central Patient Care Services (WPCPS).  Prior to WPCPS, she worked for Rite Aid Pharmacy for over 6 years as a community pharmacist/ MTM specialist. Helen holds a certificate in patient–centered diabetes care. As a diabetes educator, she quickly realized the need to educate and sensitize the community on kidney disease and its causes. Her interest in Kidney disease led to her becoming a National Kidney Foundation ambassador.  She is also a certified kidney educator with the American Kidney Fund. Helen obtained a dual Bachelor’s degree in Science in Biochemistry and Chemistry from the City University of New York before moving to Yale University School of Public Health where she studied International Health. She later enrolled into the doctor of pharmacy program at the Albany College of Pharmacy, Albany New York. Helen is currently registered as a pharmacist in Cameroon as well as in 7 states in the USA.  She is currently enrolled at the University of Florida School of Pharmacy were she is pursuing a master’s degree in Patient Safety in Medication Use.  She considers herself a Public Health Pharmacist and is very passionate about Health Education.
