FAQ
Common questions.
Quick answers to the questions we hear most about CE, licensing, and renewal compliance.
What is ACPE and why does it matter?
ACPE (Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education) is the body that accredits CE providers. Most State Boards only accept CE from ACPE-accredited providers, so always verify the provider's ACPE UAN number before counting it toward your license.
Do I need to report CE to my State Board?
In most states, ACPE providers auto-report to NABP's CPE Monitor, which syncs with your State Board. However, some states require manual attestation — always check your state's specific requirements.
Can I count the same CE for multiple states?
Yes — ACPE-accredited CE is generally accepted in all U.S. states. However, state-specific topics (e.g., Florida's HIV/AIDS requirement) must be tailored to that state.
What happens if I miss my renewal deadline?
Most states offer a grace period with late fees. However, practicing with an expired license is illegal and may trigger disciplinary action. Contact your Board immediately if you've missed renewal.
Does CAMPhA offer ACPE-accredited CE?
CAMPhA partners with ACPE-accredited providers to offer eligible CE activities. Look for the ACPE logo and UAN on any course to confirm it counts toward your license.
